This course is designed to provide an overview of substance or drug abuse and the various strategies used in preventive efforts. The role of prevention in the continuum of care will be examined from a historical perspective. A variety of problems associated with substance abuse, including legal, health and impairment problems, will be explored. Prerequisite: junior standing.
