Examines the effects of population and economic growth on the environment. The course will focus on factors related to population and economic growth, as well as public measures designed to mitigate the impact of this growth on the natural environment. Population and economic growth and policies as they pertain to industrial and developing countries will be emphasized. Prerequisite: SOC 334 or consent of instructor.
