This course will include diagnostic and therapeutic implications for communication characteristics of individuals with severe disabilities. Emphasis will be on communication development and disorders of this population; vocal, unaided, and aided communication systems; assistive technology; various service delivery models; integrating communication skills into functional activities; and feeding implications. Prerequisite: CDI 205 or 292, and CDI 550.
