The course, usually taken along with a departmental directed independent studies course, guides the student to completion of the field of study project, which is a baccalaureate senior thesis required for completion of the Bachelor of Independent Studies degree. Prerequisites: admission to B.I.S. program, senior standing, completion of two courses (six semester hours) in research methodology or creative arts appropriate to the project undertaken.
