[Choice:AR] This course introduces the beginning student to the guitar as a medium for performing and accompanying music. In addition to developing proficiency on the instrument, the instruction introduces the student to a large body of music that may include classical, folk, jazz and other cultural styles. The student will also learn fundamental and practical aspects of music and musicianship as a result of the instruction. Daily practice is expected. Students must be willing to provide a suitable guitar for class use.? The instructor will have final say as to its appropriateness for this course. Prerequisites & Notes This course is offered every semester.? There is a course fee. Credits: 3
