Worlds of Music is a survey course which will supply the student with an overview of musical traditions found in various non-Western cultures including areas of India, the Middle East, China, Japan, Indonesia,?Africa, Native American, Latin American, and cultural/folk music from Europe and North America. In addition, the course will help students understand music as a vital creative force that represents and expresses each unique culture's views, values and history. Prerequisites & Notes This course is offered every even-numbered fall.? There may be a course fee. Credits: 3
