This course begins a survey of the entire spectrum of synoptic and meso-scale analysis and forecasting. It is designed to be taken in tandem with Atmospheric Dynamics I, so that the student may see direct applications of the theory learned in that course in addition to learning operational forecasting rules and techniques. The instruction allows students to experience the type of work routinely done by practicing forecasters, with the goal of gaining both a solid grasp of meteorological principles and the ability to produce and communicate sound forecasts. Prerequisites & Notes The prerequisites?are MET 2110 and MET 2020. The co-requisite is MET 3321. There is a lab fee. This course is offered every fall. Credits: 3
