This course explores the relationship between the press and government since the 1960's. The instruction uses a case-study approach to key issues involving news manipulation, the adversarial relationship between reporters and public figures, and the changing role of the journalist as a reporter of the American political process. Prerequisites & Notes The prerequisites are POS 1010 or ENG 2040, and junior standing. This course is offered every even-numbered fall. Credits: 3
