[Choice:NS] This comprehensive course introduces the study of the atmosphere. The course is designed for meteorology and other science- oriented students and includes such topics as the structure of the atmosphere, weather instrumentation, temperature, seasons, humidity, clouds, precipitation, atmospheric stability, optical phenomena, and thunderstorms and tornadoes. Prerequisites & Notes The prerequisites are high school physics or PHY 2031, and co-enrollment in MAT 1410 or higher. There is a lab fee. This course is offered every fall. Credits: 3
