Institution:
Lyndon State College (merged into Northern Vermont University)
Subject:
Description:
Complex Analysis introduces the calculus of one complex variable, and reviews the properties and representations of complex numbers. The course investigates the functions of a complex variable, including limits, continuity and derivatives, the Cauchy- Riemann equations, analytic and harmonic functions, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions of a complex variable, integration of complex functions, line integrals, and Cauchy's Theorem. Other topics include series and the calculus of residues with applications. Prerequisites & Notes The prerequisite is MAT 2543, passed with a grade of C- or higher, or permission.
