This course investigates the packaging industry and its impact on the consumer in retail environments. Principles of threedimensional design will be explored as students design and construct packaging and point-of-purchase displays. Course topics include printing and finishing methods, UPC codes, FDA regulations, merchandising systems, marketing strategies, and brand identity. Prerequisites & Notes The prerequisites are DGC 3111 and ENG 2020. There is a lab fee. This course is offered every spring. Credits: 3
