This course places students in a public school classroom. Students gradually increase their involvement, culminating in a period of full-time teaching under the direction of a qualified supervising teacher. The course involves practical application of teaching principles, knowledge, and understanding of youth and their development. Please note that 15 weeks of student teaching equals 12 credits, and nine weeks of student teaching equals seven credits. Prerequisites & Notes The prerequisites are EDU 3810, a passing score on the Praxis I and II standardized test, at least a "C" in required education courses, and a "B" average as defined by the State of Vermont. This course is offered every semester.? This course may be repeated only with the permission of the Education Department.Credits: 7 to 12
