A practical field-related internship experience in a GIS and/or GPS related position is the foundation for this course. Students must have the opportunity to explore and work in at least several of the many departments within a chosen work environment such as, but not limited to: scheduling, budgeting, ordering, and mapping. Seventy hours of work related experience is the equivalent of one college credit. Prerequisites & Notes The prerequisite is a minimum of 18 hours of Associates Degree in Applied GIS/GPS core (GIS and CIS course designations). This course is offered every spring.
