This course provides instruction in the methods and materials appropriate for teaching students with special learning needs in the inclusive classroom.? Models of designing an inclusive classroom, including universal design and differentiated instruction, are studied with an emphasis on using assessment data to inform instruction.? The course provides an introduction to special education law and the special education process.? This offers students an opportunity to participate in the development of the Individualized Education Program and to work collaboratively as a member of the Evaluation and Planning team. Prerequisites & Notes The course must be taken concurrently with EDU 3810.? The course is offered every spring. Credits: 3
