This course explores the capital markets-their structures, functions and evolution-and their effects on economic activity. Specifically, the course studies banking systems, public and private debt markets, equity markets, and derivative markets, looking both at established and emerging markets and technologies. This course is also strongly suggested as an introduction to BUS 3230.Prerequisites & Notes The prerequisite is ECO 2020. This course is offered every even-numbered fall. Credits: 3
