This course introduces students to selected topics in biology through the study of animals.?A unit on genetics covers Mendelian genetics, population genetics, and evolution.? A unit on ecology covers population dynamics, nutrient cycles, food webs, and biomes.? A unit on physiology includes cardiovascular, digestive, and other important systems.? An appreciation of taxonomic diversity is woven through all of the topics. This course is part of a one-year introductory sequence in biology. Prerequisites & Notes There is a lab fee.
