Prerequisites: EDEE 327 and EDEM 330. Corequisites: EDEE 322 & EDEE 331. Requires TEP admission. Role of language arts in the early elementary curriculum. Diagnosis of children's communications skills, needs, and subsequent teaching techniques are central to the course. Areas of emphasis include language development, listening and thinking skills, speaking, written expression, spelling, and handwriting. Field experience is an integral part of this course.
