2 semester credits (Lec. 2; Spring) A course designed to familiarize the student with proper safety practices and procedures. Course content will include protective clothing, handling of hazardous materials, OSHA regulations, workman's compensation, and fi rst aid. Also, safe practices in using hand and power tools, scaffolds and ladders, chains and cables, compressed gasses, proper storage of tools and chemicals, and handling of hazardous waste will also be addressed.
