3 semester credits (Lec. 1, Lab. 4; Fall) This course introduces basic concepts in safety, construction math, hand & power tools, blueprint reading, and basic rigging. This course covers safety in the operation of a variety of hand and power tools. It includes reading simple construction-related blueprints as well as overhead crane hand signals. Thermal and moisture protection using common insulating and vapor systems will be covered.
