4 semester credits (Lec. 3, Lab. 2) This course introduces students to the science of chemistry. The course covers the physical states of matter, including the nomenclature used in chemistry, along with atomic structure, elements, the periodic chart, chemical bonding, chemical reactions, and acid-base theory. This course is a general overview for non-science majors and includes lecture and laboratory hours. The course does meet the laboratory science requirement. Course Fee: $20.00
