Prerequisites: BIOL 101, BIOL 178, or SCIN 101 & 103. Introduces fundamental concepts and technological advances in human genetics. The course will provide students with an understanding of the genetic basis for human disease and the rational basis for the clinical management of these disorders by addressing what genes are and how they function and interact with each other and the environment.
