Topics include Organic Chemistry - naming, structure, and function; Inorganic Chemistry - metals, non-metals; chemistry of hazardous organic compounds; fl ammable gases and liquids; chemistry of corrosive materials; chemistry of explosive materials; chemistry of toxic substances; chemistry of water reactive substances; chemistry of hazardous organic compounds; chemistry of some polymeric materials. Credit will not be given for both SM-1232 and SM-2232. Prerequisite: SM-1131 STCW: None
