This course is an introduction to the basic principles of electricity and magnetism with emphasis on the theory of DC and AC circuits. The topics include electric fi eld and Coulomb's law, series and parallel circuit analysis using Ohm's law and Kirchhoff's laws, transient behavior ofcapacitive and inductive circuits, magnetic fi eld and electromagnetic induction based on Faraday's law and Lenz's law, AC circuit analysis usingthe concepts of impedance and phasors, and AC power analysis.
