Designed to follow Tugs and Towing I, this course builds upon the skills previously developed in its prerequisite, and is designed to elevate the student to a more advanced level. It uses the theory previously studied, and puts it to practical use on the water. Students make use of all the Academy's limited-tonnage training vessels with heavy emphasis placed on the practical aspects of towing, pushing cargo barges, and ship-assist work.
