This course will explore the nature of theatrical performance from script analysis to the fundamentals of physical performance and presentation. Selected plays will be read with an eye on character interpretation, and modern methods of acting from the schools of Constantin Stanislavski and Bertolt Brecht will be reviewed. This course will work toward student presentation of scenes within an informal workshop format. Prerequisite: HU-1222 STCW: None
