Offered to FENG, IMBU, MSEP, and MTRA students who desire a familiarization with diesel engines without the USCG engineering license focus. The course content includes diesel operation and theory, components, and systems. Systems include lubrication, cooling, fuel, electrical, air and exhaust, and the drive train. Troubleshooting and maintenance are included. This course is equivalent to Masters, Mates, and Pilots Union MITAGS course Diesel Engines Control. Prerequisite: None STCW: None
