Prerequisites: NRSG 310, 332/332L, 335/335L, 336/336L This course expands the scope of nursing care as it is provided to population groups and communities. Concepts from epidemiology, public health and nursing of aggregates are integrated into the nursing knowledge base. The influence of political, socio-economic, and environmental factors on the health of patients is examined. Students partner with other health team members to meet the health care needs of families and groups within the community. Clinical practice occurs in selected community agencies.
