Philosophical themes of the Middle Ages are related to the Neoplatonic and Aristotelian traditions as they influenced major thinkers of the period. Topics include wisdom as the goal of inquiry; the relation between faith and reason; the existence of God; the nature of humanity; and the immortality of the soul.
