This course refl ects the commitment to the ideal of a professional police force in a free society. That means the police should be responsive to the needs of the public, as indicated through an open political process, and responsive to the rule of law. These ideals will be conveyed to the student by a focus on major contemporary issues affecting our societal order. Pre-requisite: JS 103 or permission of instructor.
