This online course, intended for parents, teachers, home schoolers, coordinators and supervisors of GT learners, is activity-based and designed to be completed on an individual basis. The course will help familiarize students with the social and emotional needs of GT children and adolescents. The content includes identifying special problems and issues, techniques for individual and group adjustment, academic and career counseling, identifi cation and assessment tools, counseling learning disabled GT students, multicultural counseling, and consideration of social development, leadership, and gender issues. In completing the course students will read assigned text chapters and answer review questions about the chapter's contents. Each chapter includes either one or more questions for discussion or an application activity. The fi nal examination will take the form of essay questions. Pre/Co-requisite: EDGT 410.
