This course introduces students to careers in health care. Course content includes: characteristics of health care personnel, personal assessment as a health care worker, levels of education required for various occupations, certifi cation, and licensing, health care systems, health care terms, philosophy and continuity of care, overview of medical law and ethics, employment rights and responsibilities, current issues and trends in health care, and legislative and economic infl uences in the delivery of health care services.
