The focus is on building algebraic thinking with an emphasis on modeling real-world phenomena and the meanings represented by algebraic expressions. Topics include linear relationships; slope; linear, quadratic, and exponential functions. Connections will be drawn between algebra and geometry through patterns and other areas of overlap.
