Areas of concentration are multiprogramming, managing memory, communicating with input/output devices, synchronizing and communicating with processes, managing time, processing various classes of interrupts, and scheduling the processor. Command languages and utility usage covered. Includes UNIX and Windows techniques. Prerequisite: CS 280. Spring.
