Ethnographies are descriptions of cultural systems based on anthropological fieldwork and informed by ethnology (crosscultural comparison). In this course, students read ethnographies to understand the diversity of cultures. They also examine strengths and weaknesses of ethnography as a means of describing and explaining culture and cultural diversity. Prerequisite: ANTH 110. Fall.
