Applications of biologically inspired computational intelligence tools to solve problems in agricultural and biological systems. Introduction to Artifi cial Neural Networks, Support Vector Machines, Fuzzy Logic, Genetic Algorithms, Bayesian and Decision Tree Learning. Fundamental machine vision techniques will be introduced in the fi rst part of course and integrated into the lab exercises for learning different computational intelligence techniques. MATLAB will be used throughout the course for algorithm implementation. Individual and/or group projects required for graduate credit.
