Emphasis on the role of hormones and hormone interactions in governing stress reponses. Lectures are prepared from journal papers that elucidate key mechanisms controlling reponses to drought, fl ooding, salt, nutrient defi ciencies, freezing, pathogens and herbivores. Plants studied include genetic model systems and crops of horticultural and agronomic value.
