This course focuses on the special problems in human communication that characterize the interaction of minority groups and of peoples from varied ethnic backgrounds. The assumptions, language patterns, non-verbal behaviors and media techniques are some of the factors studied in the lifestyles of religious minorities, non-whites, the economically deprived, senior citizens, children, and those born outside North America.
