An introduction to basic research methods used by political scientists. Students will learn about the basic qualitative and quantitative methods political scientists use, how they conduct research, report and evaluate their results. They will become acquainted with the basic steps in the scientific research process, including question and hypotheses construction, literature review, research design, sampling, measurement, data collection, data analysis, and research reporting.
