This course focuses on the critical issues surrounding information privacy from a global perspective. The European Community, the United States, and Asia all have varying approaches to preserving individual privacy rights, especially as they pertain to Ecommerce and other information systems. The course explores the existing tension experienced when attempts at implementing information security clash with the preservation of the privacy rights of citizens.
