The course is an introduction to acrylic painting, color relationships and the dynamics of pictorial space. Students will explore the technical and creative possibilities of acrylic painting on paper and canvas using the elements and principles of design and composition as guidelines. Actual studio experience, art appreciation, gallery study, individual and group critiques. Required NY City museum/gallery visits. Prerequisite: FPA 203 or permission of the department chair. 3 credits. N
