An introduction to the nature, purpose and functions of marketing. The course will review the activities and decisions involved in directing the flow of needsatisfying products and services to consumers. Topics include strategic and marketing planning, the marketing environment, marketing research, consumer behavior, market segmentation and targeting, product development, pricing, promotion and distribution. Special attention will be given to technological, global and ethical aspects of marketing. Not open to students who have taken BUS 240 or 340. 4 credits. NLA. ST
