An introduction to the study of microorganisms and immunology. Special consideration to immunity, serology, disease-producing microorganisms, antibiotics and chemotherapy, transduction and transformation. Specific topics include definition and relationships of antigens and antibodies, hostantigen interactions, bursal and thymal influences on lymphoid cells, and humoral and cellular response mechanisms.
