This course will introduce the student to the fundamental role played by operations management in business organizations. The basic approaches, tools and techniques useful in the management of production and operations systems in both the manufacturing and service sectors will be covered. Emphasis is given to the complexities in both designing and operating the production and operations system. Not open to students who have taken BUS 320. Prerequisite: BUS 2110, BUS 210 or equivalent. 4 credits. NLA. ST
