Prerequisites: Experience with Windows operating system. An introduction to the principles and applications of geographic information systems (GIS). Covers the creation representation manipulation and analysis of spatial data in digital form and issues related to data digital cartography and output products. Lab exercises and a course project expose students to actual data manipulation and GIS analysis. Two hours lecture three hours lab and course project.
