Prerequisites: Junior level completed the liberal arts core or permission of instructor. Curriculum and Instruction is an integrated course which covers methods of planning instructing and evaluating a diverse population of elementary (secondary) students. Student teachers will acquire insights into the classroom world made up of students of different native languages colors classes and religions. in addition to individual differences in learning styles gender sexual orientation and physical and mental abilities. Consideration of diversity will lead into the management strategies necessary to implement instructional designs and create an efficient learning environment. Current ethical and legal issues in educational settings will also be discussed.
