Prerequisites: Junior standing or permission of instructor. The course will introduce pre-service teachers to a wide variety of instructional models that have been shown to lead to more effective instruction in the secondary classroom. Accordingly it addresses methods for working with pre-adolescent and adolescent students. Pre-service teachers will learn to describe educational goals define learning objectives and match their objectives to instruction teaching materials teaching processes assessment practices and the learning process.
