1 cr. The purpose of this course is to give the student an introduction to the techniques of playing and teaching woodwinds. Teaching methods, proper playing position, embouchure, common problems and errors made by students, equipment, maintenance and repair of the instruments, and both pedagogical and performance literature will be presented.
