4 cr. This course has two major components. First, methods coursework done at MSU which provides teaching strategies for classroom management, planning, instruction, and assessment of teacher as well as student behavior. Application of current theories of motivation are explored and applied in this course. Second, forty-five contact hours with secondary students will provide extensive opportunity to apply current practices learned in the classroom. Prerequisite(s): HPER 301, Admission to Teacher Education, and it is highly recommended that students take HPER 340 prior to enrolling in this course. Course restricted to Physical Education majors.
