An interdisciplinary course, taught from the perspective of the social and behavioral sciences, which introduces the "core" discipline areas and methodological/bibliographical tools required to do research in Women's and Gender Studies. Emphasis is on the roles, socialization, and political background of women in contemporary American society; using both literature and social science research to illuminate the present status of women. Credit will not be given for both WOST W200 and WOST W201. (Fall)
