Lecture and laboratory course that studies the application of various forms of medication, aerosol therapy, hyperinflation therapy, and special procedures used in the practice of respiratory care. Indications and use of noninvasive monitors. Detailed study of lung segments and the use of various airway clearance techniques. Humidity therapy, including sputum induction and analysis. Rationale and application of pulmonary rehabilitation and alternative care facilities. (Spring)
